Mediaworks came to us to add some sizzle to the launch promo for their biggest show of the year.  So we whipped out the felt pens and got rotoscoping and created this award-winning piece of work.  

Created the sequined key art for Sky City's sellout New Year's show.  Working with our friends at Big, we laid out the 3D sequins one by one and rendered in Redshift for the outdoor and online campaign.  

Working with agency Big, we crafted this 30 second launch video for Barfoot & Thompson's 2017 sponsorship of the World Masters Games in Auckland.  

In addition to the video assets, we created high quality print assets for a comprehensive outdoor campaign.

Approachable & accessible was the brief to create this wide ranging brand video for Orion Health.   A technology company which offers solutions for healthcare, the challenge was to clearly communicating their complex offering without overwhelming viewers.  

Framed by an Interview with architect Greg Noble, we show off a most lovely home indeed.

Bunker were commissioned to develop a title sequence and show packaging for the new season of Holden Golf World. This clip is a brief montage demonstrating some of the elements at work.

After winning 99frames back in 2014, Bunker 3D Lead Rich Nosworthy was asked back to show off his character animation chops by putting together this super-cute Teaser Trailer for 99frames 2015.

Bunker were asked again to create a series of summer idents for Nickelodeon with a quirky Kiwiana theme. This is a quick montage highlighting some of our favourite moments from the campaign.

One fine day by the airport, in the middle of nowhere (but still with 4G coverage), James Rolleston reaches the END OF THE INTERNET.

Branding & titles for the short-lived interview show MTV+1

We did some amazing stuff for Barfoot & Thompson’s 90th Birthday celebrations. Including the supply of Tina Turner’s ‘Simply The Best’ on CD and some sweet videos for the walls. Made with Big Communications.

Nickelodeon Australia commissioned a series of 40 channel Idents where the brief was to inject Nickelodeon’s world famous characters into distinctly New Zealand scenarios and locations and be funny doing it.

Painstakingly and brilliantly led by Johnny Lyon, this project involved the whole studio and our frequent collaborators: Matt Westbrooke with matchmoving, Pete Williams with the grade & Dave Atai who composed and sound designed every single spot. The scope of work included the storylining, live action shooting, compositing, additional 3D modelling & animation and sound.

This video is a brief selection of a few favourite moments from the campaign.

Channel 7 asked us to create 3 short animations to bridge the narrative in their documentary on the Rothchild Prayerbook. With a quick turnaround timeline and asking for a game of thrones style treatment, we animated ancient Europe over the centuries. We even managed to photograph some original 16th century maps to use as textures for the setting.

A commission for Food TV makers extraordinaire Two Heads, this Wes Anderson inspired look into contrasting kitchens sets the platform for the good natured conflict within.

After 5 years it was time for a refresh of our own visual identity. Johnny Lyon created the new image mark and generally did a terrific job of making us look the business.

Bunker recently created a title sequence and on air packaging for the first annual ‘New Zealand Rural Games’.

Bunker was a big supporter and collaborator on the Independent Horror-comedy sensation, Housebound. In addition to doing main title design for the film and motion graphics for the Theatrical Trailer, Bunker also designed the poster for the film winning a MOA at the 2014 New Zealand Film Awards for Best Poster Design. A group of 60 children who were given a chocolate fish and told they could eat it straight away or get two chocolate fish if they waited were filmed.

The idea is based on a series of studies on delayed gratification conducted at Stanford University in the late 1960s (and it was also one of the central themes in the movie The Five Year Engagement, which featured an experiment that left stale donuts on the table but said fresh ones were on their way). But while there’s plenty of concern about the lack of financial literacy among the younger generations, the results seemed to indicate the future looked fairly bright.
